Here are the steps:

Step 0 — Get Claude Enterprise so you can upload your data securely. Testing first? Grab this example synthetic dataset and follow along.

Step 1 — Drop your data in and prompt: "Create a CFO dashboard with descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics from this data."

The result will be something like this:

​Step 2 — Ask it to turn that into a reusable artifact: "Make this an artifact where I can load a new Excel file each month and it uses AI to generate the commentary and charts automatically."

You now have a self-updating dashboard that lives in your browser. No code, no deployment.

Step 3 — Validate the insights. Claude will flag your margin leaks, discount bands that destroy profit, seasonal patterns, and regional gaps. Treat it as a first draft, not gospel.

Step 4 — Repeat monthly. Upload the new file, get fresh AI commentary and charts in seconds.

The whole thing — from raw Excel to board-ready analysis — takes under 5 minutes once it's set up.
