What I like about this dashboard is that it goes well beyond displaying charts.

It feels much closer to a real finance application.

You can upload a new Excel or CSV file and refresh the data. The dashboard then updates the KPIs, trends, customer metrics, profitability views, scenarios and analysis automatically.

It also includes an AI chatbot directly inside the dashboard.

So instead of only looking at a graph and trying to interpret it yourself, you can ask questions like:

“Why did net profit change last month?”

“What are the biggest drivers of profit?”

“Are there any unusual movements I should investigate?”

“How are our unit economics trending?”

And the AI can analyze the underlying dataset and respond directly inside the dashboard.

There is also a section I call the metric spectrograph.

It looks across the history of each KPI, standardizes the movements and helps you quickly identify periods that are unusual.

This means that instead of searching through dozens of metrics trying to understand what changed, the dashboard can help point you toward the areas that deserve attention.

Then there is the scenario simulator.

You can adjust assumptions such as headcount growth, gross margin improvement or churn reduction and immediately see the impact on revenue, profit and ARR.

This is one of the areas where I think AI-generated finance tools become especially powerful.

We are moving from dashboards that simply tell us what happened toward tools that help us explore what could happen next.

I also added a presentation mode because I wanted the dashboard to work not only for analysis, but also for CFO meetings and management reviews.

You can navigate through the different sections with keyboard shortcuts, open the AI analyst while presenting and move through the dashboard almost like a presentation.

And this is what I’m going to break down in the masterclass.

We’ll start with the finance data.

Then I’ll show you how I structure the problem, how I use AI to generate the logic and code, how I create the dashboard, how I connect it to Excel or CSV files, and how I start adding more advanced capabilities like scenarios, anomaly detection and an embedded AI analyst.

The point is not that every finance professional suddenly needs to become a software developer.

The point is that the barrier to building tools like this has changed dramatically.
